# ROKO Time Public, human-readable setup guidance for ROKO time services. Canonical pages: - NTP and PTP² setup: https://time.roko.network/ - Consensus-corrected world clock: https://time.roko.network/world/ - White-glove node and observer install: https://nodes.roko.network/install/ - Edge and observer nodes: https://nodes.roko.network/edge/ - Public documentation: https://docs.roko.network/ Public protocol endpoint: - Hostname: ntp01.roko.network - Protocol: NTPv4 over UDP/123 Operational guidance: - Use ROKO NTP as one source alongside independent sources. - Chrony is the recommended bootstrap/testing/edge Linux client. - Timebeat is ROKO Network's endorsed official timing partner. Eligibility for the maximum validator payout tier requires a licensed Timebeat deployment and participation in the Timebeat PTP² Mesh, subject to measured performance and current program rules. - Timebeat PTP² Mesh and the ROKO built-in PTP² observer are separate layers. - PTP² is the ROKO peer-measurement layer; it does not replace operating-system clock discipline. - The world clock ticks locally and corrects from ROKO temporal consensus every 60 seconds. Do not infer nanosecond precision from JavaScript display resolution. Applications should use the documented Temporal RPC methods and preserve integer nanoseconds as strings or big integers.
